GLOW was one of the best series Netflix produced last year and the company has now set a premiere date for season 2.
The “gorgeous ladies of wrestling” step between the ropes on June 29 for another 10 episodes. Season 1 was about the formation of GLOW, with season 2 focusing on running the show and the effects fame has on the wrestler’s lives.
As Ruth (Alison Brie) and Debbie (Betty Gilpin) settle into the day-to-day of making a season of TV together, they confront lingering issues at the heart of their friendship. Sam (Marc Maron) is still Sam, but now he has a teenage daughter living with him and twenty episodes to churn out. The wrestling is harder, the stakes are higher and the hair is even bigger.
GLOW was one of my quickest binge watches on Netflix and I’m excited to see it return in a couple months. The show is extremely funny and does a great job of simply just being entertaining episode to episode. The amount of fun the series is can even be seen in the announcement trailer below.
