Better Things has been off the air for a while, but FX has finally announced when the series will be back for Season 3.
The Pamela Adlon comedy will return Thursday, Feb. 28. The extended time period between seasons is understandable considering the exit of Louis C.K. following his issues with sexual misconduct. Louis C.K. co-created the series with Adlon and wrote or co-wrote many of the shows episodes. Adlon will continue to play a significant role both in front of and behind the camera, as she is directing all 12 episodes of Season 3. Joining her in the forthcoming season will be guest-stars Matthew Broderick, Sharon Stone, and Janina Gavankar.
Better Things can be really funny, sad, or plain heart-warming at times. It’s good to see show finally return next month, although I sometimes find Sam’s older two daughters insufferable. The actresses are really good in their roles, but the characters can be really annoying. In that sense, Better Things excels in illustrating the difficulty of parenthood.
