Fans of the popular Fallout TV adaptation didn’t have to wait long for news of its renewal.
Shortly after premiering on the platform with all 8 episodes, Amazon announced the series would be returning for Season 2. Starring Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, and Aaron Moten, Fallout was widely met with overly positive reviews from critics and fans. The early support resulted in the series becoming one of Prime Video’s three most watched titles ever.
The success of the show has trickled over to the Fallout games themselves, as they have benefited from a sales spike. Fallout being well received is another example of video games no longer being solely relegated to subpar adaptations in film and television. Properties like The Last of Us, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Arcane, and Castlevania are just some recent examples of the positive upward trajectory video games have reached crossing over to different media.
