Comic book adaptations for the big and small screen are numerous and come in many flavors. Deadly Class headed to Syfy next year brings a punk sensibility and teenage assassins to the table.
Based on the Image graphic novel, Deadly Class is set during the Regan era and follows Marcus, a homeless teen introduced to King’s Dominion- a private assassin’s academy.
I’m not familiar with the source material, but the premise seems right up my alley. Misfits looking for purpose, belonging, and a way to harness their anger seem like ideal candidates for assassins. The short trailer gives a sense of energy Deadly Class looks to bring and if the performances make the grade and the series delivers creative kills I can see myself quickly becoming a fan.
