The Good Place will continue to have a home on NBC, as the network has renewed the comedy series for a fourth season.
As the show approaches the end of Season 3, the early renewal isn’t too much of a surprise. Since its premiere, The Good Place has been a consistent ratings performer and critical success in NBC’s Thursday night comedy lineup. In fact, it holds the distinction of being NBC’s highest-rated comedy series.
I expect NBC will give creator Mike Schur the opportunity to execute his full vision for the show. Whether that is in another season or two, is anyone’s guess. I do know I will be along for the ride as it is one of my favorite shows on TV.
The mix of comedy, mystery, philosophy, twists, and heart make it truly a unique series worth watching.
