DC Universe continues to pump out content for its streaming service. Young Justice: Outsiders premiered in January and now Doom Patrol is set to make its DC Universe debut.
Premiering Friday, February 15, Doom Patrol follows an unlikely group of heroes who have been ostracized from society due to their freakish abilities or appearance. Enter Cyborg, who approaches the group with a mission that will transform their lives forever.
The new promo video released gives a quick glimpse of all the heroes and establishes the tone of the series. Aside from Cyborg, I was not familiar with any of the members of the group. I like the fact DC Universe is giving a spotlight to characters not previously seen on TV and Doom Patrol seems to have a humorous tone. If it turns out to be as funny and enjoyable as Legends of Tomorrow, I could see myself really enjoying this series.
