DC Universe continues to build up its roster of original shows. Following on the heels of its last original series Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing is set to premiere in May.
The announcement was made during a panel at WonderCon 2019 the series will arrive on the streaming service May 31. Swamp Thing centers on CDC researcher Abby Arcane as she investigates a mysterious swamp virus in Louisiana.
Actress Crystal Reed plays Abby Arcane, with Andy Bean playing scientist Alec Holland who eventually transforms into the titular creature. Derek Mears will play the creature side of the role. Executive produced by James Wan, the series also features Ian Ziering, Kevin Durand, Will Patton, Virginia Madsen, and Jennifer Beals.
