Shudder Drops Official Trailer For ‘Creepshow’ Anthology Series

There are numerous streaming services available now, with only more arriving in the coming months. Shudder is a niche streaming service, focused on horror and is resurrecting the Stephen King classic Creepshow as an anthology series.

The Walking Dead Executive Producer Greg Nicotero is behind the new iteration arriving September 26.  Promising 12 terrifying tales, Creepshow stars David Arquette, Adrienne Barbeau, Tobin Bell, Big Boi, Jeffrey Combs, Kid Cudi, Bruce Davison, Giancarlo Esposito, Dana Gould, Tricia Helfer and DJ Qualls.

I have not seen the original 1982 film, but watching the trailer released it definitely gives me a Tales from the Crypt vibe. The footage shown seems like horror that doesn’t take itself too seriously and offers up a bit of bloody and disgusting fun.

In the streaming wars, original content is key.  Creepshow seems like the ideal move for Shudder to keep horror fans interested in the service or perhaps attract fans of the original film to sign up.
