Zack Snyder has primarily been associated with the DCEU these past few years, but the Man of Steel and Batman v Superman director is returning to the zombie genre for his next project.
Army of the Dead is a zombie horror thriller coming to Netflix. Set to start shooting this summer, Army of the Dead is “set set amid a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, during which a man assembles a group of mercenaries to take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantined zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.”
The project is a return to form for Snyder who broke onto the scene with Dawn of the Dead in 2004. With free rein from Netflix and a reported large budget, Army of the Dead could be just the right movie to catapult Snyder back to success.
