Y: The Last Man Series Heads To FX In 2020

FX may be bringing Legion to a close, but the network is still in the comic book business. The long in development Y: The Last Man adaptation has been picked up to series.

Fans of the Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra series have witnessed the long road to bring the characters to live action. At one point it was set for a film release, but now has a home at FX where it will simply be titled Y.

I feel the switch to a television adaptation is much more suitable for the story and FX is a great place for it to land. The cast already features such talented actors like Barry Keoghan, Diane Lane, Amber Tamblyn, Imogen Poots, and Lashana Lynch.

For those unfamiliar with the story it,  “..takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where a cataclysmic event has decimated every male except for one lone human, Yorick. In his travels, Yorick encounters a new world order of women who explore gender, race, class and survival.”

The series is set to premiere on FX sometime in 2020.
