Counterpart Comes To A Close After Two Seasons

Counterpart was a show that dealt with duality and approaching decisions from two sides. After two seasons, Starz has cancelled the J.K. Simmons spy drama.

Despite Simmons giving one of the best performances on TV and featuring an overall stellar cast, Counterpart was not able to garner much traction with viewers. It received generally positive press from critics, but not the overwhelming support it might have needed for Starz to green-light a third season.

Counterpart isn’t completely gone yet, as producer MRC is looking to streaming platforms to keep the series going. Unfortunately for fans, the likelihood of that happening is slim, although not impossible.

As someone who has watched both seasons in their entirety, the show does provide resolution. It is absolutely worth watching if you have been thinking about giving the show a chance. Do not let the series ending be a deterrent.
