Penny Dreadful is returning to Showtime and the cast for the new installment of the series continues to shape up. The latest addition to the show is actress Natalie Dormer.
The new chapter of Penny Dreadful will be known as Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, as the series migrates from Victorian-era London to 1930s Los Angeles. Natalie Dormer joins previously announced cast members Daniel Zovatto, Jessica Garza, and Johnathan Nieves. Creator, executive-producer, and writer John Logan is returning to helm this spiritual successor of the original show.
Dormer will play Magda, “a supernatural demon who can take the appearance of anyone she chooses and manifests in a number of guises throughout the story. Charismatic, clever and chameleonic, Magda is a dangerous enemy and an invaluable ally.”
