‘Warrior’ Continues the Fight With Early Season 2 Renewal

The legacy of Bruce Lee continues in many forms today. One such form is Warrior, the Cinemax series based on his writings from Justin Lin and Jonathan Tropper. Early into its first season Cinemax has renewed Warrior for Season 2.

The move to continue the show was already in development with pre-production for Season 2 starting in late 2018-early 2019. Warrior fits perfectly with Cinemax’s focus on delivering high level, action-infused shows like previous channel hits Strike Back and Banshee.  It is also telling a story that has not been seen on television before, a rarity among the numerous scripted programming on air right now.

Warrior has only aired three episodes, but I am really enjoying the series so far. The Friday time slot may not be ideal for same day viewing, but I imagine a good percentage simply watch on demand or via a repeat airing.  Whatever the case, I am glad Cinemax has shown support for the show with the early renewal and look forward to seeing how Season 1 unfolds.
