The cast for Penny Dreadful‘s return to Showtime continues to grow. Already featuring Rory Kinnear, Natalie Dormer, and Nathan Lane, Piper Perabo has just been revealed as joining the cast.
The revived Penny Dreadful dubbed Penny Dreadful: City of Angels shifts the setting to 1930’s Los Angeles where Perabo will recur as character Linda Craft. Linda is described as “disappointed with her husband and bored with her constrained suburban life.” Her husband is played by Rory Kinnear, who was stellar in the original series.
Penny Dreadful was easily one of my favorite Showtime series and this new incarnation has my attention. It will be hard to top the original and what Eva Green brought to the series, but I’m curious to see them try.
