The Marvel Cinematic Universe has done a great job in selecting talent and the latest star to join the fold is actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
She will be co-starring alongside Tom Hiddleston in the upcoming Disney+ series Loki. Deadline broke the news and while her specific role in the series is unclear, it is said to be a significant one. Gugu Mbatha-Raw joins Owen Wilson and Sophia Di Martino who have also been revealed as cast members for the series. The first footage of Loki was unveiled during the Disney+ Super Bowl ad and the show is scheduled for a 2021 release.
I have been a fan of Gugu Mbatha-Raw since first seeing her in the short-lived NBC series Undercovers. This isn’t her first foray into the superhero world, as she starred in Fast Color, the 2018 film about a woman coping with special abilities. Her addition to the cast only increases my interest for the upcoming Loki.
