While Netflix has big movies like Solo: A Star Wars Story and Ant-Man and the Wasp arriving in January, Polar dropping later this month has me the most excited.
Based on the graphic novel of the same name, Polar stars Mads Mikkelsen, Vanessa Hudgens, Matt Lucas, and Katheryn Winnick. Mikkelsen plays Duncan Vizla aka The Black Kaiser, a former assassin who only wants to enjoy retirement in the chilly, cold.
Only his former employees can’t let him chill and send a group of younger, ruthless killers after him looking to cash in on his life and kidnapping his sweet neighbor in the process. What follows can only be a path of violence that should make any action fan giddy with anticipation.
I remember first hearing about this movie and when I learned it would feature two of my favorite actors, Mads Mikkelsen from Hannibal and Katheryn Winnick from Vikings, it was an automatic day one watch. Seeing the trailer only cemented my anticipation, check it out below and look for Polar to drop on Netflix January 25.
