Good Omens Prepares For The Apocalypse In May On Amazon Prime Video

Amazon revealed good news for fans anticipating the premiere of Good Omens during the show’s panel at the Television Critics Association press tour.

The apocalyptic comedy will arrive May 31 with all six episodes. Good Omens is based on the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name, centered on an angel and demon working to stop the end of the world. Check out a synopsis below.

Good Omens takes place in 2018, when the Apocalypse is near and Final Judgment is set to descend upon humanity. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, and tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. However, Aziraphale (played by Masters of Sex‘s Michael Sheen), a somewhat fussy angel, and Crowley, a fast-living demon (Doctor Who‘s David Tennant) — both of whom have lived amongst Earth’s mortals since The Beginning and have grown rather fond of the lifestyle — are not actually looking forward to the coming war.  “

Good Omens is stacked with a talented cast. Not only with the two leads,  but also featuring Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Frances McDormand, and the recently announced Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of Satan.

In addition to the release date, Amazon dropped a look at the opening credits. Check it out below.
