Superstore is sometimes the forgotten comedy in NBC’s Thursday night lineup, but the network is staying in business with the series for the foreseeable future.
NBC has renewed the workplace comedy for a 5th season. The news arrives prior to the show finishing its 4th season and days before Superstore returns from hiatus. It joins fellow NBC comedies Will & Grace, The Good Place, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine which had all been previously renewed.
It’s always good to see networks renew shows early. Fans don’t have to wait unit the upfronts in May to learn a shows fate. Superstore is a show that has really grown on me over the past few years. The ensemble cast really gels together and it did a great job in building up the Amy/Jonah romance.
