Shortly after its Season 2 premiere, Starz has renewed American Gods for Season 3.
After a long break between seasons and creative changes behind the scenes, American Gods premiered last Sunday, March 10. Viewership numbers must have been solid for Starz to give the series such an early green-light. For Season 3, Charles “Chic” Eglee will take over as show-runner, marking the third show-runner in three years.
It’s always good to see networks renew shows early and not leave fans wondering about their fate. I watched the first season of American Gods and liked it, but didn’t love it. There was something about the series that never fully hooked me, despite some standout moments. I do plan to check out Season 2 over the next few weeks while I still subscribe to Starz.
