Pablo Schreiber Suits Up As Master Chief For Showtime’s Halo Series

The Halo TV series has been in development for a number of years and now has taken a big step with a key casting announcement.

Showtime has revealed Pablo Schreiber has been cast as the iconic Master Chief for its upcoming series based on the popular game franchise. Halo is set for 10 episodes with production beginning this fall. No premiere date has been set, but with it being a big-budget and ambitious series for Showtime, I wouldn’t expect it to see it until 2020 at the earliest.

Master Chief will no doubt be front and center of the series and is billed as “Earth’s most advanced warrior in the 26th century and the only hope of salvation for a civilization pushed to the brink of destruction by the Covenant, an unstoppable alliance of alien worlds committed to the destruction of humanity.”

I don’t have much experience with the game series, but Pablo Schreiber seems like a good fit.  He has the physicality the role might require and he has impressed me with his  work in shows like Lights Out and American Gods.
