It’s no doubt Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn was one of the breakout characters in the film Suicide Squad. Now the character is set for a bigger spotlight in Birds of Prey releasing next year.
Harley Quinn and the Joker have separated and she looks to have made some new friends, including Black Canary, Huntress, Renee Montoya, and Cassandra Cain. This group of women forms an unlikely team to square off against Ewan McGregor’s villainous character Black Mask.
The trailer suggests a colorful, fun, and chaotic vibe befitting of a character like Harley Quinn. Harley has exploded in popularity in recent years and it’s not surprising she would be front and center for the film’s first trailer. Birds of Prey looks like a fun time and features a number of characters we haven’t seen on the big screen before.
