A24 has quickly become a movie studio known for putting out unique and critically acclaimed titles. There latest film arriving this summer is The Green Knight starring Dev Patel.
Based on the Arthurian poem ‘Sir Gawain and the Green Knight’, this latest interpretation of the tale arrives in theaters May 29. Dev Patel plays Sir Gawain and joining him in the cast are Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton, Sarita Choudhury, and Sean Harris. The fantasy adventure film is helmed by director David Lowery.
The brief teaser trailer released does not offer up much explanation, but immediately makes an impact visually. The journey of a knight looking to prove himself has been done many times, but The Green Knight looks to depict the terrifying lengths taken to prove themselves worthy of honor.
