‘Community’ Comes To Netflix In April

Community was one of the best comedies to air on NBC in recent years and now the series is expanding to a new audience as it arrives on Netflix in April.

Previously only available on Hulu in the U.S., Community will now stream all six seasons of the show’s run starting April 1. Hulu subscribers need not worry as the show will continue to stream there, as the Netflix deal is non-exclusive with Sony Pictures TV looking to bring Community to even more platforms.

As someone who was a big fan of the comedy during its run, I’m happy to see even more people potentially discovering the show. It had a fantastic cast and was created by Dan Harmon who later went on to big success with Rick and Morty. You can definitely see some Community DNA in Rick and Morty with the spot-on parody of TV/movie tropes and certain pop culture references. With people taking comfort in comedies now more than ever, it will be interesting to see if Community pops into Netflix’s Top 10 charts next month when it debuts.
