The Mandalorian Season 2 continues to assemble a stacked cast. The latest addition to join the roster is none other than Timothy Olyphant.
If Season 1 wasn’t a big enough success for Disney+, the company is certainly stacking the deck for Season 2. Not only is Timothy Olyphant a terrific actor, his previous roles on shows like Deadwood and Justified indicate he can fit in perfectly with the space-western flair found in The Mandalorian.
No word was given on the role he would play, but hopefully it is recurring and not a one-off. The only concern about Season 2 is how all the confirmed or rumored names will be able to fit into the season. Rosario Dawson, Michael Biehn, Temuera Morrison, Katee Sackhoff, along with Olyphant are all expected to show up in the upcoming season.
With TV production currently shut down to the coronavirus pandemic, I’m sure Disney is ecstatic they were able to film Season 2 before things went sideways. The series is now in post-production with an expected fall release for the new season.
