All good stories must come to an end eventually, and Netflix has revealed the return date for the third and final season of German sci-fi thriller Dark.
The last cycle for Dark begins June 27 as the series prepares to close the loop on its time-twisting tale. The announcement trailer released offers a vague hint of what’s in store. Like previous seasons there appears to be many questions arising as to what exactly is going on and when for that matter. The Season 2 finale ended on a major bombshell that set the stage for Dark to expand even further, not a small feat for a show that is already very complex.
While it will be sad to see Dark end, I’m glad the creators will be able to close the loop on a truly fascinating story. It is a great example of the exposure Netflix can bring to international fare and remains one of the best series I’ve watched on the service period.
