Adria Arjona Joins Star Wars ‘Rogue One’ Prequel Series Coming to Disney+

While updates of the Rogue One spin-off series coming to Disney+ have been sparse, a major casting announcement has been revealed.

Adria Arjona has joined the currently untitled series and will co-star opposite Diego Luna. Luna reprises his role as Cassian Andor from the 2016 Rogue One film in this prequel series described as a “spy thriller” and focusing on the early days of the Rebellion against the Empire.

Alan Tudyk is also set to return as  K-2SO, Cassian’s droid sidekick. There are no firm details on what role Arjona will play, but there rumors floating around she might be the sister of Cassian Andor.

While I wasn’t sure Rogue One needed a prequel series, I do like the casting so far. The Mandalorian has by far been the best thing on Disney+, so I’m optimistic the company can pull off another Star Wars series. It will be interesting to see if this arrives before the Obi Wan Disney+ series starring Ewan McGregor.
