A blast from the past is set to return next year as Peacock has just picked up a MacGruber TV series.
The cult-classic film starring Will Forte comes to the streaming service in 2021 with an eight-episode order. Check out a synopsis of the show below.
“After rotting in prison for over a decade, America’s ultimate hero and uber patriot MacGruber is finally released. His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past: Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth, With the entire world in the crosshairs, MacGruber must race against time to defeat the forces of evil — only to find that evil… may be lurking within.”
With many of the creative forces behind the film on board, it will be interesting if they can get more of the movie’s cast to return. Deals are in place for Kristen Wiig and Ryan Phillippe to reprise their roles, which I hope comes to fruition.
