Black Adam is one of the many DC films in development and the cast has grown with the addition of Aldis Hodge as Hawkman.
Hodge known for his work in Leverage, Underground, and most recently The Invisible Man joins the project which stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Black Adam. The movie will feature the Justice Society comprised of Hawkman, Cyclone, Doctor Fate, and Atom Smasher. Noah Centineo will portray Atom Smasher while Cyclone and Doctor Fate await casting.
It will be interesting to see which version of Hawkman Black Adam chooses to depict, the ancient Egyptian version that is constantly reincarnated or the more modern version that is an archeologist and adventurer.
Aldis Hodge is an actor whose name comes up a lot in potential comic book castings, most often as Green Lantern John Stewart. I didn’t expect to see him as Hawkman, but I’m happy to see him get a big role and hopefully he is able to soar in the film.
