Disney+ has a number of Marvel shows in development and the latest one to join the roster is a Nick Fury series starring Samuel L. Jackson.
Word comes by way of Variety that reveals the potential series is in the early stages of development with no plot details revealed so far. Kyle Bradstreet whose previous credits include Mr. Robot is set to write and executive produce. Samuel L. Jackson bringing Nick Fury to Disney+ would mark the first TV series the actor has starred in and would continue a role that dates back to 2008 when he first appeared in Iron Man.
This is unexpected, but exciting news as Disney+ could use all the Marvel content they can get. From the casting of Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk to the release of the WandaVision trailer, it seems like a lot of Marvel/Disney+ news has started to trickle out lately. I look forward to the company getting the ball rolling with all these Marvel shows in development, starting with WandaVision later this year.
